Two Chi Chapter undergrads look towards the Horizons

Congratulations to Steven Riley ’12,
Horizon’s is an all expense paid program sponsored by the Sigma Chi Foundation, and is committed to developing value based undergraduate leadership. Please support this program if asked to. Undergrads are selected after filling out an application and having a letter of recommendation. The selection committee uses a blind process where all the names, schools and hometowns are blocked and the undergrads are selected by merit only.

- Chi Chapter Initiates Three New Members!

Chi Chapter initiated Jonathon Harden '12, Hanover, Shaun Koester '12, Indianapolis, Chris Tookey '12, Peoria, Illinois, who became the newest members of Chi Chapter with their initiation.
The chapter did a very good job of making the "show" one that was memorable for all in attendance. It is with great anticipation that the chapter will have their winter initiation back in the rack room in our HOUSE sometime in late March or early April. Our hope is that we can have as many alumni back for the "show" as possible.

Dateline: Hanover, Indiana. Wednesday, September 30th.
Late Wednesday night the Chi chapter celebrated it's new fall pledge class with a run from Jordan House (old Chi) to College House (temp house). The chapter led it's three new pledges on a spirited run that had all of Hanover talking. John Harden, Sean Koesters and Chris Tookey participated in the run as new pledges of the fraternity. The three new pledges add to an already dynamic sophomore class that has stepped up to help the chapter meet its goals. Please join us in welcoming the new guys to a journey unlike any other!

- The Run 2009
Dateline: Hanover Indiana, Saturday, January 17, 6:55 P.M.Recruitment 2009 resulted in Chi chapter taking 10 new members through formal recruitment and 1 open bid for a total of 11 new members/pledges. The chapter still has several open bids out that they are hoping will be accepted by Wednesday. The chapter was in high spirits for the brisk run from Lynn Gym, to the White Cross in the front yard of Jordan House (old chapter house) and back to the current house. I personally am very impressed with the quality of young men the chapter has brought in and only time will tell how much they will be able to contribute to the rebuilding of Chi chapter.

Brothers, many of you have been contacted by me, and several of you I have had conversations with. I continue my journey to revive Chi Lights but I need your help. In order to have an alumni newsletter, I need to know about the alumni. This is where I need your help. If you could email me specific information about yourself, then that would be great. This information would be used for the articles of Chi Lights. Articles “Where Are They Now” and possibly a significant Sig like deal. I can’t know where the direction of the newsletter will go or what articles it will have until I have information to shape it.
